On June 19, 2021, the technical team of PAN Trading JSC installed a medical laundry equipment system for the laundry facility at Hue Central Hospital – Facility 2.
At a time when COVID-19 was spreading strongly in many localities, hygiene and infection control, particularly the processing of textiles used by doctors and healthcare workers, received increased attention.
After receiving an urgent request from the management of Hue Central Hospital to deploy the medical laundry system as quickly as possible, PAN mobilized its technical team from the Nha Trang branch in coordination with the Da Nang office to participate in the project.
72 Hours of Accelerated Installation
As the project was implemented under special circumstances during the COVID-19 outbreak, the entire technical team had to complete health declarations, testing and obtain negative COVID-19 test results before carrying out work at the hospital.
After completing the required procedures, the technical team quickly proceeded with the installation of the washing system. The work included:
- Moving the machines into position on the foundations;
- Securing the machine bases to the foundations;
- Connecting the electrical system;
- Connecting the water supply and wastewater systems;
- Connecting the steam and exhaust systems;
- Setting washing and drying programs for the Fagor equipment system;
- Conducting no-load test operation of the industrial washing machines;
- Conducting loaded test operation;
- Providing operating and laundry process guidance to the Infection Control Department and the hospital laundry management team;
- Handing over the complete laundry facility, including Fagor industrial washing machines, industrial dryers and industrial ironing equipment from Spain;
- Acceptance testing and commissioning of the system;
- Preparing equipment monitoring records and maintenance plans for the entire system.
Project Completed in Nearly 72 Hours
The installation and handover of the laundry equipment for Hue Central Hospital – Facility 2 was completed after nearly 72 hours of implementation. During a challenging period, completing the medical laundry project was a source of motivation for PAN Trading JSC to continue supporting healthcare facilities.
