SECOM MACHINE
SECOM MACHINE is a range of chest-heated ironers developed by LACO Machinery for the commercial and professional market. Compared with the more industrially focused LACO range, SECOM is designed for projects requiring smaller and medium production capacities while retaining LACO technology in the critical chest and roll components.
According to the manufacturer, the SECOM range targets projects from approximately 30 to 80–100 kg/hour. The current product catalogue also includes models with production capacities of up to 160 kg/hour.
SECOM Chest-Heated Technology
SECOM ironers use chest-heated technology, where linen comes into contact with a heated chest during the ironing process. LACO Machinery states that the critical components, including the chest and roll, use LACO technology.
Selected SECOM models use LACO's patented flexible steel chest. The flexible steel chest is one of the core technologies used in the range.
SECOM Ironer Models
The current SECOM range includes different models with different roll diameters, working widths and heating configurations.
- M30-18: up to 30 kg/hour, 1.8 m working width, electric heating.
- D30-18: up to 30 kg/hour, professional SECOM configuration.
- M60-20: up to 60 kg/hour, 2.0 m working width.
- M70-25: up to 70 kg/hour, 2.5 m working width.
- M80-30: up to 80 kg/hour, 3.0 m working width.
- M110-20: up to 110 kg/hour, 2.0 m working width.
- M140-25: up to 140 kg/hour, 2.5 m working width.
- M160-30: up to 160 kg/hour, 3.0 m working width.
Depending on the model, SECOM offers electric or gas heating. The manufacturer's catalogue also lists configurations with 300 mm, 370 mm and 520 mm roll diameters.
Energy Efficiency
LACO Machinery states energy consumption of approximately 0.38 kW/kg of linen at 40–50% residual moisture. This is a manufacturer-published figure under the stated operating conditions and should not be considered a fixed consumption level for every model or operating environment.
Ironing Process Adjustment
SECOM documentation indicates that operators can adjust parameters such as chest temperature, chest pressure and roll speed on applicable configurations. Selected models also include moisture extraction and finger-protection features.

For substantially higher production requirements, larger SECOM configurations or the industrial LACO range should be considered.
