On May 16, 2021, PAN Trading JSC installed a medical laundry equipment system for the laundry facility of Kien Giang General Hospital. Previously, on May 9, 2021, Kien Giang General Hospital officially began operating at its new facility, with 9 floors, 1,200 beds, a construction area of more than 17,400 m2, and a helicopter landing area on the rooftop. The total investment for the project was nearly VND 3 trillion.
Construction of Kien Giang General Hospital began in 2015. The new facility contributes to the development of the local general and maternal-child healthcare network while helping reduce pressure on central-level hospitals and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Lam Minh Thanh, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, relocating Kien Giang General Hospital to its new facility was an important expectation of local residents, doctors and hospital employees.
