Industrial Laundry System Installation at Kien Giang General Hospital
On May 16, 2021, PAN Trading JSC installed a medical laundry system for the laundry facility at Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital. Prior to this, on May 9, 2021, Kien Giang General Hospital officially began operating at its new facility, which includes 9 floors, 1,200 beds, a construction area of more than 17,400 m2 and a helicopter landing pad on the rooftop. The total investment for the project was nearly VND 3 trillion.
Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital began construction in 2015. The new facility was developed to gradually strengthen the regional general and pediatric healthcare system while helping reduce overcrowding at central-level hospitals and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Mr. Lam Minh Thanh, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, relocating Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital to its new facility was a long-awaited development for local residents, medical professionals and hospital employees.
Meeting hospital laundry and hygiene control requirements
In a specialized environment such as a hospital, textiles including blankets, bed sheets, patient uniforms and other linen items need to be processed and maintained under appropriate hygiene and infection control requirements to help minimize the risk of cross-contamination.
