The fourth wave of COVID-19 in Vietnam, which began on April 27, 2021, developed rapidly and became increasingly complex. In Binh Duong, the number of COVID-19 cases increased significantly, and Thuan An Medical Center officially began receiving and treating COVID-19 patients on June 25, 2021.
Thuan An Medical Center Becomes a COVID-19 Treatment Facility
To meet the demand for COVID-19 treatment amid the complex development of the pandemic, the Binh Duong Department of Health decided to convert Thuan An Medical Center into a COVID-19 treatment facility.
Thuan An Medical Center officially began receiving and treating COVID-19 patients on June 25, 2021. The facility was established in Thuan An City to receive and treat COVID-19 patients from across Binh Duong Province.
The facility had a capacity of 200 beds, with two separate entrances to manage the movement of patients and medical staff. The treatment area included separate departments and rooms, together with medical equipment and supplies supporting COVID-19 treatment.
The facility was responsible for isolating, monitoring and treating people infected with COVID-19 in Binh Duong Province. Patients with severe conditions or complications requiring further intervention were transferred to higher-level hospitals for continued treatment.
PAN Trading JSC Delivers 35 kg Industrial Washing and Drying Equipment
After receiving an urgent request from the medical center to increase laundry capacity and ensure that the existing equipment could operate continuously during the peak of the outbreak, PAN Trading JSC mobilized its technical team from Ho Chi Minh City to carry out maintenance and repairs on the existing laundry equipment.
In addition, PAN Trading JSC supplied additional 35 kg industrial washing machines and dryers to meet the increased demand for processing patient linen, supporting infection control and helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
The work was carried out during a period of severe pandemic conditions, when many southern provinces and cities were implementing social distancing measures under Directive 16. The PAN Trading JSC technical team complied with health declaration, COVID-19 testing and work assignment requirements before carrying out the work at Thuan An Medical Center.
On July 26, 2021, PAN Trading JSC completed the delivery, installation and maintenance of the equipment at the laundry facility. The project was completed during a particularly challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic and represented PAN Trading JSC's efforts to support healthcare operations during the outbreak.
PAN Trading JSC also recognizes the dedication of its technical team, who carried out the work under challenging conditions while maintaining the project schedule and supporting the customer's operational requirements.
