The laundry facility includes the following main equipment:

• 3 Fagor two-door medical washing machines, 67–74 kg capacity;
• 3 industrial washing machines, 90–100 kg capacity;
• 4 SR/E 80 industrial dryers;
• 1 PS50/330 flatwork ironer;
• 1 PS35/160 flatwork ironer;
• 3 PU-88 press ironing machines;
• 10 Beta 3 hand ironing tables;
• 1 fabric cutting machine;
• 2 overlock sewing machines;
• 5 sewing machines;
• 1 high-pressure washer.

Technical Requirements of the Laundry Facility

The laundry facility is arranged according to technical requirements suitable for a hospital environment, with a focus on textile processing, infection control and operating conditions.

• A one-way workflow from sorting to delivery back to hospital departments;
• Support for infection control and hygiene during operation;
• Two-door washing machines to help minimize the risk of cross-contamination;
• Industrial washing and drying equipment positioned at the partition between negative- and positive-pressure areas;
• Suitable working conditions for employees;
• Separate sanitary facilities for clean and soiled areas;
• Washbasins positioned at appropriate locations within the laundry facility;
• Dryers installed in a separate area to limit heat dispersion;
• Dryers equipped with fire-warning systems inside the drying drum;
• Fire extinguishers positioned in the drying area.
