IPSO IMB500 Barrier Washer-Extractor
IPSO IMB500 is a barrier washer-extractor designed for professional laundry systems requiring high-capacity textile processing and reliable washing performance.
With a 500 L drum volume, the machine provides a capacity of 50 kg at a 1:10 loading ratio and 55.5 kg at a 1:9 loading ratio, making it suitable for high-volume laundry operations.
Machine Design and Construction
IPSO IMB500 features a freestanding, high-spin design with a stainless steel top, drum and tub, combined with anthracite front and side panels.
The machine features a large door opening for convenient loading and unloading, while vital components are designed for easy access during inspection and maintenance.
Smart Drum and Mechanical Action
The IMB500 is equipped with Smart Drum technology featuring a cascading surface that provides additional mechanical action during washing.
Perforated lifting ribs increase mechanical action while supporting lower water consumption. The frequency-controlled motor provides controlled drum operation throughout the washing process.
High-Speed Extraction
The machine operates at 41 rpm during washing and up to 900 rpm during extraction, with a G-Force of 350. This high-spin configuration supports efficient water extraction from processed textiles.
Water Supply and Drainage
IPSO IMB500 is equipped with three 1" BSP water valve connections. The permitted water pressure range is 100–600 kPa, with a recommended water pressure of 300–500 kPa and a water inlet flow of 20 L/min.
The drainage system uses two 76 mm drain valves, providing a flow amount of 2 × 210 L/min.
Heating System
The IMB500 supports electric heating rated at 48 kW and a steam heating configuration operating at 1–8 bar. The machine also supports hot water at 90°C.
An insulation option is available to help reduce energy, heat and noise during operation.
Control Options
IPSO IMB500 supports Evolis / Evolis Elite and Aries / Aries Elite control options.
Evolis / Evolis Elite features a fully programmable and customizable 7" touchscreen. Operating instructions are built into the control interface, with complete control content available in 34 languages.
Aries / Aries Elite provides fully programmable control with 20 pre-set programs and memory capacity for up to 99 programs.
Automatic Weighing and Cloud-Based Management
The optional Automatic Weighing System automatically adapts the amount of water and detergent according to the wash load.
The machine also supports a cloud-based platform for monitoring laundry operations remotely.
Configuration Options
Depending on operational requirements, the IPSO IMB500 can be configured with liquid soap connections and pumps, a water recovery kit and sample tap, steam heating, insulation, a version without the soap hopper and a drain valve for water recycling.
Additional options include air-operated water inlets, a second display located on the clean side, end-of-cycle visual and signal indication, and a tilting system to assist operators during loading and unloading.
