IPSO IA280 Medium-Speed Hardmount Washer-Extractor
The IPSO IA280 is a Hardmount industrial washer-extractor designed to be securely anchored to a concrete floor for stable operation. With a 280 L drum volume and a capacity of 28–31 kg per load depending on the loading ratio, the IA280 is suited to professional laundry operations that require higher load capacity while maintaining a robust and stable machine configuration.
Robust Hardmount construction
The Hardmount design securely anchors the IA280 to the floor, providing stability when processing large or uneven loads. This construction is well suited to professional laundry facilities where equipment is expected to operate frequently and reliably over long periods.
The machine features a stainless steel drum and tub. Its Smart Drum design uses a specially developed drum texture to support washing performance, while the Ø76 mm drain valve with a 210 L/min flow rate supports efficient water discharge.
280 L drum volume with 28–31 kg capacity
With a 280 L drum, the IA280 provides a 28 kg capacity at a 1:10 loading ratio or 31 kg at a 1:9 ratio. This capacity is suitable for laundry facilities that need to increase the amount of textile processed per load while retaining the Hardmount configuration.
The appropriate loading ratio should be selected according to textile type, process requirements and actual operating conditions to maintain effective processing and textile quality.
Flexible extraction configuration
The IA280 operates at 42 rpm during washing. Its 100G extraction configuration reaches 490 rpm, while the optional 175G configuration increases extraction speed to 645 rpm.
The selectable G-Factor allows laundry operators to consider the required moisture removal and the characteristics of different textiles. A lower extraction configuration can be suitable when mechanical impact needs to be controlled for sensitive textiles such as wool, lace or silk, while the higher G-Factor can support greater moisture removal before drying.
High-capacity water inlet for productive washing
The IA280 is equipped with high-capacity water inlets, an important feature for a machine with a larger drum and higher load capacity. Combined with its high-flow drain system, this design supports efficient water filling and discharge during wash cycles, helping maintain productivity in demanding laundry operations.
The machine supports hot water up to 90°C and can be configured for electric or steam heating according to the installation requirements. This allows the IA280 to be integrated into professional laundry systems using different heating sources.
Practical operation and maintenance
The IA280 features a large door opening for easier loading and unloading. Key service components can be accessed from the front, supporting routine inspection and maintenance throughout the machine's operating life.
The machine uses the Aries control system and an ergonomically designed soap hopper. It can also be configured with liquid soap connections, USB connectivity and other options according to the requirements of the laundry installation.

The IPSO IA280 is suitable for hotels, resorts, spas, commercial laundry businesses and centralized laundry facilities handling substantial textile volumes.
