Fagor SP1000-2600 Industrial Flatwork Ironer – Compact Poseidon Ø1000
The Fagor SP1000-2600 belongs to the Compact Flatwork Ironers range, designed to combine drying, ironing and longitudinal folding in a compact industrial configuration.
The SP1000-2600 is part of the Poseidon Ø1000 configuration, featuring a 1,000 mm diameter roll and a 2,600 mm working width. Within the Poseidon Compact range, it provides a larger roll diameter and higher theoretical production than the Ø600 and Ø800 configurations.
1,000 mm Roll and 190–230 kg/h Production
The SP1000-2600 features a 1,000 mm diameter roll and a 2,600 mm working width. According to Fagor's technical documentation, theoretical production is 190–230 kg/h under the specified conditions of 50% residual moisture, 140 g/m² cotton and 100% roll utilization.
The working speed ranges from 4 to 18 m/min, allowing the ironing process to be adjusted according to the selected program and linen characteristics.
The floor-feeding height is 1,050 mm for continuous linen feeding.
Poseidon for Drying, Ironing and Longitudinal Folding
Within the Fagor Compact range, Poseidon is designed for drying, ironing and longitudinal folding. This differentiates it from Phoenix, which provides a more complete configuration with longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
- Phoenix: drying, ironing, longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
- Poseidon: drying, ironing and longitudinal folding.
- Polaris: drying and ironing without a folding system.
The SP1000-2600 can operate with one or two working lanes. The longitudinal folding system provides one or two folds according to the selected configuration.
Cross folding is not included in the basic technical configuration of this model. Businesses requiring cross folding and stacking should select the appropriate configuration or available options rather than treating cross folding as a standard SP1000-2600 function.
Photocell and Compressed-Air Folding
The longitudinal folding system uses photocells and compressed air to control the folding process, with one or two longitudinal folds available according to the selected lane configuration.
For thicker linen, Fagor provides an optional increased air-pressure system for the longitudinal folding units.
Nomex Belts and Polished Steel Roll
The SP1000-2600 uses Nomex material for the feeding and ironing belts. The ironing roll is made of polished steel and includes a finger guard in the working area.
A frequency inverter controls machine movement, with a model-specific working speed range of 4–18 m/min.
Digital Control with 20 Programs
The SP1000-2600 features digital control with 20 programs. Operators can configure programs according to different linen types and processing requirements.
The Poseidon control system manages speed, temperature and folding-related parameters to support consistent operation.
Electric, Gas or Steam Heating
The SP1000-2600 is available with electric, gas or steam heating.
- Electric heating: 90 kW heating power and 92.6 kW total electrical power.
- Gas heating: 120.90 / 121.30 kW heating power and 2.6 kW total electrical power.
- Steam heating: 120 kW heating power and 2.6 kW total electrical power.
The gas model uses a BSP 1" inlet. The steam model uses a BSP 1-1/4" steam inlet and a BSP 1" condensate outlet. The technical documentation specifies a maximum steam inlet pressure of 12 bar.
Compressed Air and Fume Extraction
The SP1000-2600 requires compressed air at 6.5 bar, with air consumption specified at 9,500 Nl/h.
The machine has two 160 mm fume outlets and a specified extraction airflow of 2 × 1,400 m³/h.
Who Is the Fagor SP1000-2600 For?
The SP1000-2600 is suitable for industrial laundries, hotels, hospitals and professional laundry facilities requiring high flatwork ironing production with a 2,600 mm working width.
It is particularly suitable when the operation requires the Poseidon workflow of drying, ironing and longitudinal folding while benefiting from the larger 1,000 mm roll configuration and 190–230 kg/h theoretical production under the manufacturer's specified test conditions.
SP1000-2600 vs. SP800-2600
Both models have a 2,600 mm working width and belong to the Compact Poseidon range. Their main differences are roll diameter, working speed and theoretical production:
- SP800-2600: 800 mm roll, 3–14 m/min working speed and 140–175 kg/h theoretical production.
- SP1000-2600: 1,000 mm roll, 4–18 m/min working speed and 190–230 kg/h theoretical production.
The SP1000-2600 is therefore the larger-roll and higher-production configuration for a 2,600 mm working width within the Poseidon range.
