Fagor SP600-2600 Compact Flatwork Ironer
The Fagor SP600-2600 belongs to the Compact Flatwork Ironers range from Fagor Professional and features the Poseidon Ø600 configuration. It is designed to dry, iron and longitudinally fold flat linen in a concentrated industrial laundry workflow.
Within the Compact range, Poseidon is designed for drying, ironing and longitudinal folding. Unlike the Phoenix SPE configuration, the SP600-2600 does not include a standard cross-folding system.
600 mm Roll and 2,600 mm Working Width
The SP600-2600 is equipped with a 600 mm diameter roll and a 2,600 mm working width. Under the manufacturer's stated test conditions — 50% residual moisture, 140 g/m² cotton and 100% roll utilization — theoretical production is rated at 75–105 kg/h.
The model operates at a working speed of 3–12 m/min and provides digital control with 20 programs.
Poseidon Configuration for Longitudinal Folding
The key characteristic of the SP600-2600 is its Poseidon configuration, combining drying and ironing with longitudinal folding rather than the more complete folding workflow offered by the Phoenix SPE configuration.
The machine can operate with one or two working lanes, with one or two longitudinal folds on each lane.
- One working lane: 1–2 longitudinal folds.
- Two working lanes: 1–2 longitudinal folds on two independent lanes.
- Folding is operated by photocells and compressed air.
- One lane is intended for bedsheets.
- Two lanes are intended for table linen and small pieces.
NOMEX Belts and Polished Steel Roll
Fagor equips the SP600-2600 with NOMEX feeding and ironing belts. The machine uses a polished steel roll fitted with a finger guard.
A frequency inverter is used for machine operation. The touchscreen control allows programs to be created with speed, temperature and folding parameter control. The model-specific technical table specifies a working speed of 3–12 m/min.
Electric, Gas or Steam Heating
The SP600-2600 is available with electric, gas or steam heating, allowing the machine to be configured according to the laundry's available infrastructure.
The machine incorporates a powerful exhaust system and requires a compressed-air connection at 6.5 bar. It also includes an automatic stop system during cooling at 80°C.
Options for Different Laundry Processes
The SP600-2600 can be configured with a one-lane linen feeder with vacuum table, vacuum table, rear bypass outlet, motorized rear outlet and two- or four-lane napkin receivers.
Other options include a folder bypass, an integrated linen rejection system, increased air pressure for longitudinal folds on thicker linen, and a transverse folder with stacker for one lane.
Who Is the SP600-2600 For?
The SP600-2600 is suitable for industrial laundries, hotels, hospitals and flatwork processing facilities requiring drying, ironing and longitudinal folding in one machine, with a 2,600 mm working width and 75–105 kg/h theoretical production under the manufacturer's stated test conditions.
It is particularly suited to operations that need a Poseidon configuration focused on ironing and longitudinal folding, without requiring the complete cross-folding workflow of the Phoenix configuration.
SP600-2600 vs. SPE600-2600
Both models use a 600 mm roll and a 2,600 mm working width, but they provide different finishing configurations.
- SP600-2600 – Poseidon: drying, ironing and longitudinal folding, with up to two longitudinal folds.
- SPE600-2600 – Phoenix: drying, ironing, longitudinal and cross folding, with optional stacking.
Therefore, the SP600-2600 is the more focused configuration when longitudinal folding is sufficient. Where cross folding and stacking are required, the SPE600-2600 provides a more complete finishing configuration.
