Fagor SPE1000-2600 Compact Flatwork Ironer
The Fagor SPE1000-2600 belongs to the Compact Flatwork Ironers range and the Phoenix Ø1000 configuration. It is a complete configuration designed for drying, ironing, longitudinal folding and cross folding, with an optional side stacker.
The SPE1000-2600 features a 1,000 mm diameter roll with a 2,600 mm working width. Under Fagor's specified test conditions, the model provides a theoretical production of 190–230 kg/h.
Phoenix – the complete Compact configuration
Within Fagor's Compact Flatwork Ironers range, the configurations are differentiated according to their finishing capabilities:
- Phoenix: drying, ironing, longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
- Poseidon: drying, ironing and up to two longitudinal folds.
- Polaris: drying and ironing without folding.
The SPE1000-2600 belongs to the Phoenix configuration and is designed for laundries requiring several flatwork finishing operations within one continuous system.
1,000 mm roll and 2,600 mm working width
The model features a 1,000 mm diameter roll and a 2,600 mm working width. Theoretical production is 190–230 kg/h under Fagor's reference conditions of 50% residual moisture, 140 g/m² cotton and 100% roll utilization.
The SPE1000-2600 has a model-specific working speed of 4–18 m/min, allowing the process to be adjusted according to the selected program and linen requirements.
Longitudinal and cross folding
The machine can operate with one or two working lanes. With one lane, it provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–3 cross folds. With two lanes, it provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–2 cross folds.
Folding is performed using photocells and compressed air. An optional higher air pressure system is available for longitudinal folding of thicker linen.
Optional side stacking
The SPE1000-2600 can be equipped with a side stacker. Fagor offers two stacker types, with programmable stacking quantities and the possibility of positioning the stacker on either side of the machine.
The Compact stacker can stack up to 5 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets, while the standard stacker can stack up to 10–15 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets.
Digital touchscreen control with 20 programs
The SPE1000-2600 features digital touchscreen control. Operators can create programs according to speed and temperature, with 20 programs available.
A frequency inverter is used to control machine operation, while the model-specific working speed ranges from 4 to 18 m/min.
Polished steel roll and Nomex-quality belts
- Polished steel roll with finger guard.
- Nomex-quality feeding and ironing belts.
- Painted steel panels.
- Powerful exhaust system.
- Electric, gas or steam heating.
- Compressed-air connection required at 6.5 bar.
Two gas burner versions
For the Phoenix Ø1000 configuration, Fagor offers two versions for gas-heated models: atmospheric burners and radiant burners.
According to the manufacturer's documentation, these versions provide 25% gas consumption savings and 25% more production. This information is stated for the Phoenix Ø800 and Ø1000 configurations in the Compact Flatwork Ironers documentation.
Three heating options
The SPE1000-2600 is available with electric, gas or steam heating. According to the technical table, heating power is 90 kW for the electric model, 120.90 / 121.30 kW for the gas model and 120 kW for the steam model.
The steam version uses a BSP 1-1/4" steam inlet and a BSP 1" condensate outlet. The machine requires a 12 mm compressed-air connection.
Compact design for professional laundries
The Compact range is designed to integrate several flatwork finishing operations into one machine. The SPE1000-2600 can be configured with a rear exit and bypass to suit the production layout of the laundry.
Available options include an automatic one-lane clamp feeder with vacuum table, vacuum table, rear collectors for small pieces, linen reject system, special tension, remote service and a maintenance kit for ironers.
Who is the SPE1000-2600 for?
The SPE1000-2600 is suitable for industrial laundries, hotel laundries, hospitals and other professional facilities requiring high-volume flatwork finishing with drying, ironing, longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
Within the Phoenix configuration, this model is appropriate when a 1,000 mm roll and 2,600 mm working width are required. For the same Phoenix Ø1000 configuration with a 3,300 mm working width, Fagor offers the SPE1000-3300.
