Fagor SPE1000-3300 Compact Flatwork Ironer
The Fagor SPE1000-3300 belongs to the Compact Flatwork Ironers range from Fagor Professional. It is a high-production flatwork ironer designed to combine drying, ironing, longitudinal folding and cross folding in a compact machine configuration.
Within Fagor's Compact range, the SPE models are the Phoenix configuration, described by the manufacturer as the most complete option. They can operate with one or two working lanes and can be equipped with an optional side stacker.
1,000 mm Roll, 3,300 mm Working Width and 250–290 kg/h
The SPE1000-3300 features a 1,000 mm diameter roll and a 3,300 mm working width. Under the manufacturer's stated test conditions — 50% residual moisture, 140 g/m² cotton and 100% roll utilization — theoretical production is rated at 250–290 kg/h.
The machine operates at a working speed of 4–18 m/min and provides digital control with 20 programs.
Drying, Ironing and Folding in One Process
The Phoenix configuration is designed for a complete flatwork finishing process rather than ironing alone. The SPE1000-3300 can dry, iron and fold linen longitudinally and transversely.
- With one working lane, the machine provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–2–3 cross folds.
- With two working lanes, it provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–2 cross folds.
- Folding is controlled by photocells and compressed air.
- An optional side stacker can be installed on either side of the machine.
Fagor specifies one working lane for bedsheets and two lanes for tablecloths and small pieces, allowing the configuration to be adapted to different types of flat linen.
1,000 mm Polished Steel Roll and Nomex-Quality Belts
The SPE1000-3300 uses a polished steel roll with finger protection. Feeding and ironing are carried out using Nomex-quality belts, while a frequency inverter controls the machine operation.
The 3,300 mm working width is intended for operations handling large flat linen while maintaining a concentrated production layout.
Electric, Gas or Steam Heating
The SPE1000-3300 is available with electric, gas or steam heating, allowing the machine to be matched to the available laundry infrastructure.
For gas-heated models, Fagor specifies two burner versions: atmospheric burners and radiant burners. The manufacturer states 25% gas consumption savings and 25% higher production for these gas burner versions.
The machine also incorporates a powerful exhaust system and requires a compressed-air connection at 6.5 bar.
Configuration Options for Industrial Laundry Operations
The machine can be configured with an automatic one-lane clamp feeder with vacuum table, vacuum table, rear exit with bypass, rear collectors for small pieces, increased air pressure for longitudinal folds on thicker linen, and a linen reject system.
Two stacker options are also available. The compact roll-off stacker can stack up to 5 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets, while the standard stacker can stack up to 10–15 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets, depending on configuration.

Compact Flatwork Ironers is the name of Fagor's compact flatwork ironing range. Within this range, Phoenix is the most complete configuration, combining drying, ironing, longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
Poseidon focuses on drying, ironing and longitudinal folding, while Polaris provides drying and ironing without a folding system.
The SPE1000-3300 is therefore intended for operations that require the more complete Phoenix workflow and need a 3,300 mm working width with a high production capacity.
