Fagor SPE600-3300 Compact Flatwork Ironer
The Fagor SPE600-3300 belongs to the Compact Flatwork Ironers range and the Phoenix Ø600 configuration. It combines drying, ironing, longitudinal folding and cross folding in one machine, with an optional side stacker.
Compared with the SPE600-2600, the key difference is its 3,300 mm working width. This configuration is designed for laundries that need to process larger flat linen while maintaining the compact concept of the Phoenix Ø600 range.
Phoenix – the most complete Compact configuration
Fagor's Compact Flatwork Ironers are available in three main configurations:
- Phoenix: drying, ironing, longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking.
- Poseidon: drying, ironing and up to two longitudinal folds.
- Polaris: drying and ironing without folding.
The SPE600-3300 is part of the Phoenix configuration, making it suitable for laundries looking to integrate several finishing operations into a single production line.
3,300 mm working width for larger flat linen
The SPE600-3300 uses a 600 mm diameter roll with a 3,300 mm working width. Fagor states that the 3,300 mm roller allows linen up to 3,300 × 3,300 mm to be ironed and folded.
The theoretical production of the SPE600-3300 is 110–140 kg/h under the manufacturer's reference conditions of 50% residual moisture, 140 g/m² cotton and 100% roll utilization.
Longitudinal and cross folding
The machine can operate with one or two working lanes. With one lane, it provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–3 cross folds. With two lanes, it provides 1–2 primary folds and 1–2 cross folds.
Folding is controlled by photocells and compressed air. An optional higher air pressure system is available for longitudinal folding of thicker linen.
Optional side stacking
The SPE600-3300 can be equipped with a side stacker. Two stacker configurations are available, with the number of stacked items programmable and the stacker position selectable on either side of the machine.
The Compact stacker can stack up to 5 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets, while the standard stacker can stack up to 10–15 tablecloths or 10 bedsheets, according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Digital control and process adjustment
The machine features digital control with a touchscreen interface. Programs can be created according to speed and temperature, with 20 programs available.
The model-specific technical data specifies a working speed of 3–12 m/min. A frequency inverter is used to control machine operation.
Construction for continuous flatwork finishing
- Polished steel ironing roll with finger guard.
- Nomex-quality feeding and ironing belts.
- Painted steel panels.
- Powerful exhaust system.
- Electric, gas or steam heating.
- Compressed-air connection required at 6.5 bar.
Compact design for professional laundries
The Compact concept integrates multiple finishing operations into a single machine while making efficient use of available floor space. Fagor also offers a rear exit with bypass as an option when the machine needs to be integrated into a specific laundry layout.
With its 3,300 mm working width, the SPE600-3300 is particularly relevant for laundries handling larger flat linen while requiring drying, ironing and folding within one integrated Phoenix configuration.
Who is the SPE600-3300 for?
The SPE600-3300 is suitable for industrial laundries, hotel laundries, hospital laundries and other professional facilities processing significant volumes of flat linen, particularly where larger sheets and other wide linen items are part of the daily workload.
It is also a suitable configuration when the laundry requires not only ironing but also longitudinal folding, cross folding and optional stacking in the same production process.
When should you choose the SPE600-3300 instead of the SPE600-2600?
If the required working width is up to 2,600 mm, the SPE600-2600 provides the smaller configuration within the same Phoenix Ø600 range. When the laundry needs a 3,300 mm working width for larger flat linen, the SPE600-3300 is the appropriate configuration.
The choice between Phoenix, Poseidon and Polaris should also be based on the required level of finishing automation: Phoenix provides the most complete process with drying, ironing, folding and optional stacking; Poseidon focuses on drying, ironing and longitudinal folding; while Polaris is designed for drying and ironing without folding.
